Moraea MM 13-94


Seed parent: Moraea tulbaghensis with blue eye
Pollen parent: Moraea villosa h

The flowers from this cross are small and cupped (which is typical when M. tulbaghensis is involved), but the colors are really interesting.

MM 13-94c. There are a lot of drawbacks to this plant: it's a small flower, cupped, and the best bloom was chewed on by insects. But it's getting very close to red around the eye, so I was pleased and made a lot of crosses with its pollen.



MM 13-94d. Cool! Very vivid pale blue eyes, almost metallic. This flower is kind of hypnotic when you see it in person. The first two photos were taken in direct sunlight...
