Moraea MM 13-85

Seed parent: MM 99-00b (M. atropunctata ? X neopavonia)

Pollen parent: Moraea loubseri

Like MM 13-84, this is a cross of an orange flower with M. loubseri.

MM 13-85a. It's not exactly pretty, but this is one of the weirdest Moraea hybrids I've seen. Debby Cole, Iris lover and gardening friend, described this one as "a trio of lavender-skirted bumblebees in conference." You nailed it, Debby!

MM 13-85b. A nice orange flower with much of the beard from M. loubseri.

Here's another flower from the same cross. I haven't bothered to assign it a letter because the colors are muted.
