Seed parent: Moraea gigandra
Pollen parent: Moraea calcicola
This was my first successful cross of these two purple species, and the results were very nice: They're all rich purple flowers with interesting variations in the central cups.
MM 13-177a. The cups in the outer tepals are nearly black, but the inner ones are pale yellow. A nice contrast.
MM 13-177b. More color balance between the inner and outer tepals, and the central cup is pale orange.
MM 13-177c. The inner tepals are lighter than the outer ones.
MM 13-177d. Probably the brightest orange center of the four plants.

Moraea MM 13-174
Seed parent: MM 03-98c (M. atropunctata X calcicola)
Pollen parent: Probably MM 11-135a ((M. atropunctata? x neopavonia) X (atropunctata x calcicola))
The pollen parent was not properly tagged, but I know it was either M. tripetala, MM 11-69a, or MM 11-135a. Judging from the flower, it was almost certainly MM 11-135a.
MM 13-174a.
MM 13-174b. The color pattern in this one is very interesting.

Moraea MM 13-171
Seed parent: Moraea tripetala
Pollen parent: Moraea villosa form H
Another really interesting result from a M. villosa X M. tripetala cross. The flowers were difficult to photograph accurately. They look dark because I was trying to reproduce the intensity of the colors. This is the best I could do.
MM 13-171a. The center is yellow, the eye is dark green, there's a nice white ring around the eye, and the tepals are streaked in purple.
MM 13-171b. No white ring, but the colors are even richer than its sibling. I've included two photos with different white balance and brightness settings. The eye color was close to the upper photo, while the tepal color was more like the second photo.
This photo, taken in bright sunlight, shows it off better:

Moraea MM 13-170
Seed parent: MM 03-07b (M. atropunctata? x neopavonia) X villosa
Pollen parent: Moraea villosa form H
I had high hopes for this cross, considering the vivid colors of the parents. The results aren't bad, but they weren't as richly colored as I'd hoped.
MM 13-170a.

Moraea MM 13-161
Seed parent: MM 10-03b (M. gigandra X (atropunctata? X neopavonia))
Pollen parent: MM 11-161b ((M. atropunctata? X neopavonia) X (neopavonia x villosa))
Another effort at red that ended up orange.
MM 13-161a.
MM 13-161b. There's an interesting streaky mark where the eye would usually be.

I was hoping to get red shades, but...
MM 13-159a.
MM 13-159b. The pale peach color of this flower, and the metallic blue-green of the eyes, is interesting.
