Moraea GK 2026

Seed parent: unknown
Pollen parent: unknown

GK 2026c. This is growing in Gary's parking strip, where it's hard to determine which seed corresponds to whch cross. It's a very nice flower.

Moraea GK 1906

Seed parent: GK 1699 MX_15 (parents unknown)
Pollen parent: GK 1699 MX_16 (parents unknown)

GK 1906a

GK 1906b

Gladiolus MM 12-126

Seed parent: MM 10-18 G. melisculus X tristis
Pollen parent: MM 10-18 G. melisculus X tristis

MM 12-126a. This was a rescue from an old bed, blooming 14 years later. So I am not completely sure of the parentage. It's a pretty flower with very delicate stippling on the tepals.

Moraea MM 21-363

Seed parent: MM 13-149c ((M. atropunctata? x neopavonia) x gigandra) X (villosa x tulbaghensis)
Pollen parent: MM 15-80b (atropunctata x calcicola) X neopavonia

MM 21-363a. I like this one a lot. It reminds me of MM 10-02, which is one of its grandparents. But the immediate parents of this cross were white and pale purple, so how they yielded an orange flower is a bit of a mystery. I thought orange was a dominant characteristic.
