Moraea MM 21-406

Seed parent: MM 14-09a ('Zoe' X ((atropunctata x calcicola) x (atropunctata x neopavonia)))
Pollen parent: MM 18-91a ((bellendenii x aristata) x ((atropunctata x calcicola) x (villosa x tulbaghensis))

This was a fun experiment. I crossed a violet flower that has a few spots on it with an orange flower that's covered in spots. The result was some nice flowers with a scattering of spots, like freckles on the cheeks of a child.

MM 21-406a

Below are a couple of siblings. I don't know how crossing orange and violet gave me white, but they're nice flowers.

Interesting. This one is quite different. I wonder if it's a seed that washed in from nearby.
