Pollen parent: MM 13-07e (M. villosa selection)
This is a splendid little family of hybrids. The flowers all have beautiful veins and speckles. They're a cross between MM 17-10a (which is heavily speckled) and M. villosa. But usually a villosa cross would look like villosa, so something unusual is going on. I'm very pleased.
MM 20-179a. This was the first individual from this cross to bloom, and it has virtually no pollen. I was worried that the cross would be a dead end for breeding.
MM 20-179b. This selection and its sibling below have lots of pollen and set nice big seed pods. So this story will probably continue.
