Moraea MM 18-193

Seed parent: MM 13-207a (M. bellendenii X neopavonia)

Pollen parent: MM 13-47a (M. atropunctata x calcicola) X ((M. atropunctata? x neopavonia) x (neopavonia x villosa)) 

MM 18-193a. Wow! I've had other flowers with a purple blaze in the tepals, but this is the first one that's had an orange blaze over a cream background. The parental genetics are pretty complex, and neither parent shows this sort of striped coloring. So I'm not sure what caused it, but I like it a lot.

MM 18-193b. Either this is a very diverse cross, or this flower snuck in from a nearby location in the bed. I think it's a diverse cross.
