Pollen parent: Gladiolus carinatus
Wow, this cross worked really well, but it’s not what I expected. The seed parent has large flowers with some stripes and dots, but they’re a dark magenta color. I was hoping that a cross with a blue flower would maybe give me lighter colors, or a blue flower with stripes on it. Instead, I got robust white flowers with a lot of bright magenta veins. I’m excited.
