Moraea MM 13-47

Seed parent: MM 03-98a (M. atropunctata X calcicola)

Pollen parent: MM 11-161b ((M. atropunctata? X neopavonia) X (neopavonia x villosa))

MM 13-47a. The pollen parent was a weird mahogany reddish-brown color that looked orange in photographs. I was hoping the cross with a pale blue flower would come out reddish, but this one is more pinky-orange, a paler version of the pollen parent.

13-47b. Wow! Occasionally hybrids involving 03-98 have produced pink-violet flowers like this. For other examples, check out MM 13-28 and MM 11-92d.
